CHECKPOINTS:
As you monitor your progress through your monitoring system you will need to create certain checkpoints for yourself so you can test your ability and see weather you are getting closer to your goal. For my checkpoints I have decided to conduct a fitness test every four weeks. The fitness test will evaluate my ability in ALL of the fitness components. To be able to see the progress on the first checkpoint I will need to have previous results to compare it to, therefore if I will conduct the same test before I start my fitness plan.

Every four weeks I will take the same test so I can compare the data and see if I have stayed the same, improved or gotten worse. If I improve from the last time, that's great! If I stayed the same I might want to increase my overload a little bit. If I got worse I may need to look back at my monitoring system and see what might have effected it and how I could change what I am doing to make sure I am improving.
Below is the fitness test tempelete I will be using.

REWARDS:
Rewards are a very important aspect of setting a goal. When you what the reward you will automatically work a little harder to get the reward. If you don't have a reward or if the reward is not of interest for you, the chances of you giving-up or not giving it your all is very likely because you don't have a motivation.
The reward I have chosen for myself is that I will be physically fit again and I will have a higher chance of making a club volleyball team. I don't need a physical reward, the mental reward of knowing I accomplished my goal is enough for me.
